Store Manager – Full Time

Location: Based primarily at our Call Lane store, with regular shifts at our Merrion Centre store
Hours: 36–40 hours per week, across 5 days
Rate of Pay: £14.77 per hour
Closing Date: 9am, 18th August

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our two Leeds stores.

You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the teams across both our Call Lane and Merrion Centre stores, ensuring both shops are well managed, well presented and delivering a great experience for our customers.

This is a hands-on role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leads by example and can balance the day-to-day demands of managing staff, stock and store standards with creating a fun and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of both Leeds stores
  • Managing, motivating and supporting the Leeds team, creating a positive and productive working environment
  • Creating and managing staff rotas, holidays and day-to-day staffing requirements across both stores
  • Supporting the recruitment, training and development of team members
  • Leading by example in delivering excellent customer service
  • Managing stock across both stores, including deliveries, stock movement, processing and replenishment
  • Ensuring stock is organised, easy to shop and presented to a high standard
  • Planning and maintaining strong visual merchandising across both stores
  • Monitoring sales and store performance and supporting the team to achieve targets
  • Operating and overseeing tills and cash handling procedures
  • Dealing confidently and professionally with customer queries and issues
  • Ensuring both stores are clean, organised and running smoothly
  • Communicating effectively with the wider Blue Rinse team
  • Identifying and addressing any issues that arise across the stores
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed

Physical Requirements

Please note that this role involves long periods of standing, lifting and moving stock, and working across multiple floors. Our Call Lane store has several sets of stairs.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ideally within fashion retail
  • Experience managing and supporting a team
  • Experience creating and managing staff rotas
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A confident, approachable and hands-on leadership style
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to take initiative
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced retail environment
  • A good eye for presentation and high standards
  • Friendly, positive and a good sense of humour! :)

Desirable

  • A genuine interest in vintage clothing and fashion
  • Previous visual merchandising experience
  • Experience working in vintage, second-hand or independent fashion retail
  • Experience working with sales targets and store performance
  • Experience managing stock across multiple locations
