Blue Rinse is an independent vintage clothing business that has been trading in Leeds for over 20 years. We started on a rainy market stall in Leeds, and still retain that independent spirit. Our mission is to make vintage clothing as approachable, affordable and as sustainable as possible. In addition to our Leeds and Manchester stores and busy kilo sales, we run our own clothing manufacturing facility in Armley with a focus on repurposing unusable garments. We are lucky enough to have a loyal customer base in Leeds, enjoy strong links with the local community and with other independent businesses.
We are looking for a hard working, friendly and experienced individuals to join our Leeds team. A sense of humour and enthusiasm is a big plus.
STORE MANAGER - LEEDS, CALL LANE
36-40 per week. 5 days per week Monday-Sunday. Weekend work is expected (particularly Saturday).
Paid hourly, £13-14 per hour. Regular pay reviews.
Based in our original Call Lane store. This role is not suitable for remote working.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming, positive and friendly environment for staff and customers

Model excellent customer service and train other staff members in this

Daily and weekly banking, rotas and admin tasks

Communicate with head office in relation to stock levels and sales data

Work with head office to organise deliveries, pricing and promotion

Effectively drive sales through commercial awareness and sales techniques

Assist with visual merchandising and floor moves. Must have the ability to create impactful displays that balance visual appeal with commerciality

Assist with social media content creation
Experience required:
-
Proven track record of managing a team in a retail environment (clothing/fashion retail preferred but not essential)

Experience of working to KPIs and analysing sales data

A strong knowledge of consumer behaviour and a proven record of implementing sales techniques

Experience of planning rotas, staff management admin task

STORE ASSISTANT - LEEDS STORES
Flexible working Monday-Sunday. Weekend availability is necessary.
1-2 shifts per week.
Permanent - not a temporary summer role.
Pay: £8.90-£11.60 dependent on skills and experience
Please note this role will be based in both of our Leeds stores: Call Lane and the Merrion Centre.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong interest in vintage fashion
- Be reliable and hardworking
- Have weekend availability and at least one weekday free to work
- Great customer service skills
- Clothing retail experience is not essential - we're looking for someone enthusiastic and willing to learn
